BACK TO HOME
Summer is almost here and the past time that is outside eating is about to begin.  Food Trucks have had a bad rap for the past decade but they are certainly back in style along with Chucks, Polaroids, and other vintage throwbacks. Check out our list of the Philly's best food trucks so you can enjoy some fine dining without a pesky reservation.

Guapos Tacos

Designed by acclaimed Chef Jose Garces and his design collaborator, Jun Aizaki, Guapos Tacos brings Philly pedestrians the best tacos, quesadillas, tamales and other Mexican treats this side of the border. Guapos Tacos can usually be found around Love Park and on 2nd Street in Northern Liberties. Follow their twitter and see where they'll be today!

Dapper Dog

Boasting what is hands down the best hot dog in Philly, Dapper Dog offers unusual toppings like Mac and Cheese to place atop your dog (nestled in one of the best hot dog buns EVER). Located in Northern Liberties, Dapper Dog did recently run into a bit of trouble because of their super-late operating hours but now they're back and better than ever. They are usually located at 2nd and Poplar but make sure to follow them on Twitter.

The Creperie

If you're a Temple student you've no doubt been lured to the Creperie truck by its sweet smell and savory bites. Offering Greek crepes and gyros, The Creperie is without a doubt North Philly's premier food truck; unparalleled when it comes to nasal marketing. Check out their menu here and be forwarned, it is irrestibly delicious.

Tyson Bees

Tyson Bees is definitely the most noticeable food truck in Philly. Designed by Philly artist Nosego, Tyson Bees offer scrumptious Korean-inspired creations from Chef Tyson Wong Ophaso. They are currently located at 33rd and Spruce Street but check them out on Twitter to follow their every move!

KoJA

KoJa offers Korean and Japanese dishes that will make you completely re-evaluate food trucks... and life. Their bulogi steak sandwiches are a perfect alternative to the always ubiquitous cheesesteak that can sometime taste a bit stale after eating 1200 per year since you were born. Remember to try their Honey Lemonade as it makes a perfect complement to their spicier items. Check out what the rest of the city has to say about them on Yelp.

Denise's Soul Food Truck

Offering a wide variety of soul food-inspired treats like jerk chicken, Denise's Soul Food is a Philly food truck staple. Its bright pink exterior and intoxicating aroma will warn you of its presence from miles away. Plus, they're always great for staples like red beans and rice and mac and cheese. Check them out on Yelp for more information and reviews.

Buttercream Cupcake truck

The idea of the cupcake food truck was bound to happen sometime and we're certainly glad it did. Owner Kate is often known to hook unsuspecting pedestrians with a free cupcake that will always have them coming back for more. Gourmet cupcakes of all flavors and toppings are only $2 each- a steal when it comes to top quality cupcakes. Check them out on their Facebook page for more information.
