The news that the zodiac signs have changed is causing quite a stir in the “new-age” community, mostlikely forcing horoscope junkies to run to their soothsayers for extra rounds of "astral therapy". Apparently, when the earth literally moves off of its axis, it also becomes askew figuratively. The addition of the Ophiuchus sign to the zodiac has effectively thrown everyone back one astrological sign, causing the Scorpios to be even more annoying than they already were.

But fret not, just because there is a new sign doesn’t mean yours has changed. Any half-competent astrologer (oxymoron?) can tell you that the changes only take effect for those people born after 2009. So in actuality, nothing has changed, though you wouldn’t be able to tell by the tangible backlash from folks who allow their horoscopes and Sylvia Brown to dictate the course of their lives.

I think the real tragedy here is that the change in the zodiac has brought to light how disproportionately passionate people are about their astrological sign. Never one to let a good tragedy go to waste, we trolled Facebook to see how people are responding to the news. As you’ll see, people are reacting with all the poise and grace of a teenage Maury Povich guest.
